«The Bridge: Cannabis and Psychedelic Therapy Access in the Refugee Crisis» to be held in Vilnius, Lithuania on April 27, 2023

Eastern Europe remains the most challenging and restrictive region in Europe when it comes to drug laws and access to novel psychoactive medicines. In spite of state repression, ongoing conflicts, lack of funding NGOs still try to push the envelope of drug policy reform.

For this event, representatives from the Lithuanian, Ukrainian and Belarussian drug advocacy scene will gathered together to share and discuss progress in their countries as well as obstacles they have faced while contributing to the landscape of the movement. Piotr Markielau (Legalize Belarus) and Viktoriya Wolotko (a Belarusian national, a member of strategic board of Ukrainian Psychedelic Research Association) are living in Lithuania due to the tension in Belarus. However today we give a united voice for the region and build a bridge for mutual support between our communities.

The discussion will be moderated by independent media organization NARA. The event will be held in English for accessibility of international audiences.
